-says PSC Chairman
Highlighting his personal accomplishments, those of the private sector, and the overall progress of Guyana’s massive infrastructural development across the various sectors over the past five years, Chairman of the Private Sector Commission (PSC), Capt. Gerry Gouveia Jr., spoke exclusively to The El Dorado Beacon about the opportunities that have been created for both investors and Guyanese.
The PSC chairman, while describing the past five years as “exciting” due to the significant transformational changes in the country, acknowledged that recovering from the aftermath of COVID-19 was not an easy task for anyone.
However, he explained that the leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, and his administration have fostered a conducive environment that benefits both the private and public sectors.
Regarding the 2025 election and the significant role that the PSC plays in the country’s general elections, Capt. Gouveia Jr. implored youth and all Guyanese to capitalise on the opportunities that are provided for them to better their lives.
He encouraged the youth to engage with the PSC, which stands ready and willing to provide them with free guidance and advice. This, he noted, will help them build their businesses and assist them in better understanding what they need to go forward in their endeavours.
The PSC Chairman added that he is very optimistic that Guyanese will get to witness “one of the greatest transformations to come in the next five years”.
