U.S. Company Establishes Manufacturing Facility in Guyana, Boosting Local Skills and Affordable Housing Development

U.S. Ambassador Nicole Theriot and Housing Minister Collin Croal at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for U.S. Frame Factory Guyana, marking a boost to local manufacturing and housing development.

Ambassador Theriot joined Hon. Minister of Housing Collin Croal for the ribbon cutting ceremony at U.S. Frame Factory Guyana, a Louisiana-based U.S. company investing in local manufacturing and bringing innovative light gauge steel framing technology to Guyana.

By establishing a manufacturing operation in Guyana, the company is adding value locally, providing Guyanese workers with training and experience, and supporting the development of quality, affordable housing.

Its steel framing technology has already supported multiple construction projects in Guyana, including Balwant Singh Hospital and a new hotel.

“At the U.S. Embassy, this is exactly the kind of partnership we want to see – U.S. technology and expertise alongside Guyanese workers and local manufacturing to immediately address Guyana’s growing demand for housing and infrastructure,” Ambassador Theriot said.

The U.S. Embassy welcomes partnerships that strengthen U.S.-Guyana commercial ties, develop local skills, expand domestic manufacturing, and contribute to Guyana’s housing and infrastructure development.
