As part of her continued commitment to national development through community enhancement, First Lady Mrs Arya Ali continues to ensure that every region across Guyana is equipped with safe and engaging recreational spaces.

As recently as yesterday, Mrs Ali commissioned not one, but two new parks in Region Five under the National Beautification Project, further advancing her vision of vibrant, inclusive communities across the country.

The First Lady initiatives continue to bring joy to children and adults alike.

Mrs Ali in a statement said, “In keeping with our commitment to deliver safe recreational facilities across the country, yesterday we commissioned two new parks in Region no. 5 under the National Beautification Project.

We understand that recreational spaces are integral to the social fabric of every community and that is why we are making them accessible in all regions across Guyana.

Apart from the two commissioned yesterday, another has been designed for Belladrum in the same region; while several others are are being constructed in Regions 2, 4, 6 and 10, with some expected to be completed in the coming months.

Special thanks are extended to the Ministries of Public Works, and Education, the Regional Democratic Council of Region no. 5, and Jumbo Jet Auto Sales for their generous sponsorship of the playsets.”

Collectively, efforts such as these reflect a sustained commitment to building stronger, healthier, and more connected communities across Guyana.

By expanding access to safe, modern recreational spaces, the initiative continues to enhance the quality of life for citizens while fostering unity, engagement, and a sense of pride within communities nationwide.
